
Mrs. Clarissa J. (TC) Freeman has been involved with the United States Army in various capacities since 1942. She has served on and chaired committees and boards-both local and national, helped to ensure a smooth transition when new units came to Ft. Campbell, welcomed home those in all branches of service returning from deployments in Desert Shield/Desert Storm/ Kosovo/Iraqi Freedom, and has been active in visiting wounded soldiers locally and nationally. Mrs. Freeman is a member of AUSA and has served both as their President for Kentucky and as a member of The AUSA Council of Trustees. She has worked for both Senator Jim Bunning and Governor Ernie Fletcher. Currently, Mrs. Freeman serves as a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (CASA), Kentucky Central.
Mrs. Freeman, has also received many awards, including the U.S. Army Field Artillery Molly Pitcher Award, the Assoc. of the U.S. Army Citation for Exceptional Service in Support of National Defense, the Dept. of the Army Award for Public Service, the Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, the Anne Morrow Lindbergh Medal, the Biddle Medal and the National Guard Association U.S. Patrick Henry Award.
