Address matters of military significance to Kentucky.
Maintain a cooperative and constructive relationship between
state and military entities, to ensure coordination and implementation of
strategies involved with, or affected by the military.
Advise on any mutual interest, need, concern between the
military and the Commonwealth.
Promote and optimize state and DoD initiatives.
Coordinate the state's interest in future base closure and
restructuring activities.
Recommend economic development projects which promote/foster/support
economic progress through military presence.
Promote/assist private sector in developing spin-off investments/employment/educational
opportunities associated with high tech programs.
Recommend long-range options and potential for the defense
facilities.
Develop strategies to encourage military personnel to retire
and relocate in Kentucky.
Allocate available grant money to qualified applicants.
